The Mint Museum Auxiliary

Dear Auxiliary Members and Supporters:

I am so excited about the coming year and I am truly honored and thrilled to be serving as your new President. Thank you in advance for your commitment to the Mint. We are going to have a great time working and playing together!  I hope you were able to enjoy one of the many Grand Opening events celebrating the official unveiling of the new Mint Museum Uptown. It is the crown jewel of Charlotte’s Cultural Campus and will serve as a great destination for friendship, fellowship, education and fun in the future. What an exciting time for the arts and our city!

I also wanted to highlight our two big fundraisers this year – Mint To Be Yours & Room to Bloom. The Mint To Be Yours tag sale, chaired by Marjorie Redding, will take place Friday, November 12 thru Sunday, November 14. The sale will be open to the public for two days, with plenty of volunteer opportunities for Auxiliary members. The tag sale will return to its perfect Atherton Mill location for the 2nd year! The Room to Bloom Celebration, co-chaired by Ashley Burlingame and Ansley Calhoun, will be held Wednesday, April 27- Sunday, May 20, 2011. Ashley and Ansley have planned a “never before seen” in Charlotte extra-”O”-rdinary extravaganza that will have your heart pumping. Divine details will be revealed at our first General Membership meeting on Tuesday, October 19- so don’t miss it!
